After Friday of this week, the City of Ava will no longer pick up limbs and brush from the winter ice storm UNTIL CITY CLEANUP WEEK which has been set for April 28-May 2. The city emphasizes that brush from the ice storm WILL BE PICKED UP, but not until the end of April. City utility crews have been tied up with brush pick-up for the past several weeks, and must take care of other work projects, city officials explained. The brush will eventually be picked up, but those residences not picked up by this Friday will just have to wait a little longer.
