DWI Proceedings Of Ava R-1 Board

Mar 20, 2008

The associate circuit court arraignment of Ava R-1 School Board member Robert Randy Ross, 52, Ava, has been continued until April due to a request for a new judge to hear the case.

According to court records, Ross was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol on New Year’s Eve and charged with driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving, and failure to maintain financial responsibility (no insurance).

He was to have appeared for arraignment on March 13, but the case was continued when Douglas County Associate Circuit Judge Craig Carter recused himself. Circuit Judge John Moody then appointed Judge John Jacobs, of Ozark County, to hear the case on April 18, at 9 a.m.

Ross was elected to the Ava R-1 Board of Education in 2006. He also served a previous term on the board several years ago.
