The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department recently received information and responded accordingly to incidents of minors drinking alcohol. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol located a party in the north central area of the county on three different occasions. • On Saturday, March 1, there were approximately 15 citations written for minor in possession by consumption. • On Friday, March 7, citations were written for supplying alcohol to a minor. • On Saturday, March 8, there were approximately eight citations written for minor in possession by consumption. A statement issued by the Sheriff’s Department this week said, “By providing current information to our department the citizens of Douglas County have helped to improve our efforts to keep our children safe.”
