Ava Students Will Go To

Mar 13, 2008

Classes will be held at Ava R-1 Schools this Friday, it is announced this week by Superintendent Andrew Underwood.
The original school calendar called for parent-teacher conferences this Friday, with no classes being held. However, the calendar has been amended to make up days missed because of ice.

Dr. Underwood said classes will be in session all day on Friday, and parent-teacher conferences will be held today (Thursday, March 13) from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., and on Tuesday, March 18, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Classes will not be in session on Friday, March 21, and Dr. Underwood said the calendar still includes one day off in April, however, that could change if the district were forced to miss another day.

High school graduation will be held on Saturday, May 17, at 6 p.m., with the last day of classes at Ava to be Friday, May 23.
