Ava Police investigated a two-vehicle accident on Highway 5 Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 27, that resulted in only minor injuries to the two drivers. Cpl. Trent Murray said the crash occurred at 3:58 p.m. when Lou Ann Fuller, 43, Ava, was traveling west on NW 3rd Ave. at Highway 5, and pulled into the path of a Jeep, driven by Kimberly S. Baugh, 48, Ava, that was southbound on Highway 5. Fuller’s 1992 Plymouth was hit in the passenger side by the 2005 Jeep Liberty. Cpl. Murray said both vehicles sustained significant damage, but the drivers refused medical care. Fuller was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, the police report said.
