Ava Farmer's Market to
Ava Growers Market (AGM) annual organizational meeting will be held Friday, Mar. 14, 6:30 p.m. in the basement of the Douglas County Courthouse in Ava. Those attending are asked to please use the north door entrance.
Officers for the coming year will be elected and other business discussed.
The AGM is an open marketplace for farmers, and is held every Saturday morning on the Ava Square, from April to October.
The market has been a social event for many years now, and provides a place for both small gardeners, and larger producers to sell their goods of vegetables, fruits, plants, eggs, honey, and small animals, and to meet with others.
In addition, local bakers, crafters, and artists are welcome to join the fun. However, the market is restricted to "locally grown and made at home".
