Two More File For County Offices,
Two more names have been added to the list of candidates seeking their party’s nomination at the August primary election.
Douglas County Coroner Mark Pearson filed for re-election this week, and Chris Degase announced that he is a candidate for sheriff. Both are Republicans.
Pearson is unopposed at this time. Degase is challenging incumbent Sheriff Gary Koop and Jeffrey H. Cooper, who filed previously for sheriff.
The filing period remains open through March 25.
