The Ava Bear-a-Cudas traveled to Mtn. Grove Saturday, June 14, and competed in the season's third swim meet. Ava brought home the 3rd place trophy falling to the Mtn. View and West Plains teams.
Joey Swofford, 8, earned the High Point Trophy winning gold medals in his individual events.
The Bear-a-Cudas will travel to West Plains next weekend to compete against all Ozarks Area Swim Teams (OASTA) which include West Plains, Mtn. View, Willow Springs, Houston, Marshfield, Lebanon, YMCA (Cabool/Mtn. Grove) and Ava in the season's final meet before Districts.
Houston will host the district meet on Saturday, June 28. Swimmers must place in the top three places in individual events in order to qualify to compete at the District Swim Meet.
