Missouri State-West Plains To Offer Classes

WEST PLAINS – Missouri State University-West Plains is continuing its partnership with Emerson Climate Technologies in Ava to offer several courses at that company’s facility during the fall 2008 semester.

The three classes currently scheduled to be taught on site will be open to enrollment for the public as well as Emerson employees, Acting Dean of the College Rita Fugate said.

Those classes include Quality Management (ITC 232) from 4 to 6:50 p.m. Mondays, Introduction to Psychology (PSY 121) from 4 to 6:50 p.m. Wednesdays, and Project Management (ITC 255) from 4 to 6:50 p.m. Thursdays.

A registration team will be at Emerson Climate Technologies from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 16, to help interested students with admissions, registration and financial aid questions and procedures, Fugate said.

Fugate also reminded prospective students will have the opportu¬nity to enroll in Missouri State-West Plains’ growing list of online classes during this time. A variety of courses in such subject areas as business, child and family devel¬opment, computer information systems, communications, English, history, industrial technology, jour¬nalism, law enforcement, math, physical education, political science, psychology, religious studies, sociology, and viticulture and enology are available, she said.
