The Ava High School golf team participated in the Marshfield Golf Relays on April 17, and placed third in the event with a team score of 311. First place went to Lebanon with a combined team score of 299, and second place went to West Plains at 310. Josh Wendler led the Ava team with an 80 and Trevor Watterson shot an 85. Scramble team winners for Ava were Tyler Williams and Taylor Wallace, 72, and Pete Leonard and Seth Miller, 74. Ava golfers took first place at the Rogersville Golf Relays with a score of 317. Rogersville was second with a team score of 326 and Reeds Spring placed third with a 348. Pete Leonard was medalist with a score of 76. Other Ava individual scores were Josh Wendler, 78, good enough for second place; Trevor Watterson, fifth place with 80; Tyler Williams, 83; and Taylor Wallace, 85.
