Ava High School hosted a junior varsity golf tournament at the Ava Country Club on Friday April 18. First place went to West Plains with a team score of 334. First place medalist was Roger Tapson, from West Plains, with an 80. Second place individual was Jarrod Foley, of Thayer, with 84, and third went to Mark Williams, of Mtn. View-Liberty, with an 89. Scramble winners were Hutsell and Suda, of Houston, with a 76, and Woodrow and Rogers, of Mtn. Grove, 76. Individual winners for Ava were Seth Miller, 96, and Matt Irby, 103. Ava scramble team winners were Lineger and Matney, 95.
