Volleyball Clinic Begins Next Week

Feb 7, 2008

A volleyball clinic for girls in grades 4, 5 and 6, will be held starting next week in the Ava Middle School gym.
The purpose of the clinic is to “learn the fundamentals of volleyball and the love of the game.”

The first session will be held Monday, Feb. 11, beginning right after school and will run until 4:30 p.m. Additional dates are Friday, Feb. 15, Wednesday, Feb. 20, and Friday, Feb. 22. Coach Ann Leonard, director of the clinic, said four additional dates at the end of February and beginning of March will be added.

The clinic is free, however, girls will be able to order a T-shirt for $10.

No registration is necessary, however, parents will need to write a note to the child’s homeroom teacher giving permission to walk to the middle school gym after school on the clinic dates.

For more information, contact Ann Leonard at 417-683-3835 Ext. 220.
