Flora V. Sanford, 90
Flora V. Sanford, of Ellsworth, Iowa, formerly of Ava, passed away June 5, 2008, at the age of 90 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Sanford; her brother, Carold Heinkel; and her parents, John and Martha Heinkel.
She is survived by one sister, Leona Brattmiller, of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, and one brother, Robert Heinkel, of San Jose, Calif.; four daughters, Janice (Bill) Chantland, of Marshalltown, Iowa, Diana Batcheller, of Ava, Nancy Sanford, of Marceline, Mo., and Vicky (Barry) Anksorus, of Ellsworth, Iowa; and two sons, Bill (Cheryl) Sanford, of Ellsworth, Iowa, and Warren (Valerie) Sanford, of Burlington, Iowa.
She also has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including Jonathan Batcheller, of Ava.
Memorial service was held June 21 at 2 p.m., at the Badger Lutheran Church. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Ellsworth.
