Kenneth Dale Duff, 73

Kenneth Dale Duff, son of Marion Duff and Elga O. Singleton Duff, was born on July 5, 1934 in Ava, and passed away on March 5, 2008 in Ava, at the age of 73 years and 8 months.

Kenneth was a resident of the McClurg area since 1996, moving from Washington state. He was a welder for the timber industry with Weyerhauser Co. He was a veteran and served with the U.S. Army. Kenneth was united in marriage to Patricia Gilcher and later divorced. On June 12, 1959 Kenneth and Carolyn Sartwell were united in marriage in Washington state. She preceded him in death on May 10, 2001.

Kenneth enjoyed attending auctions, yard sales, family gatherings and loved playing with babies.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carolyn and a son, Randy Duff in 2003.

He is survived by two sons, Tom and Ken Duff, both of Washington state; four daughters, Sue Perrine, Washington, Kathy and husband, Randy Hodges, Longview, Wash., Teresa Duff, Oregon and Carol and husband, Chuck Lee, Ava; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters, Dewey Duff, Dennis Duff, Donna Hubbard, Deeann Radach, Deward Duff all of Washington state, Douglas Duff, Bradleyville, and Dell Crosby, North Carolina; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside service was Friday, March 7, at 11 a.m., in the Fannon Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post 112 and VFW Post 5993 of Ava. Eulogy was given by Bill Coats.
