Notice is hereby given that the Ava Area Ambulance District will elect two members to the Board of Directors on Tuesday, April 3, 2007, one from District 2 and one from District 5 . District 2 includes the townships of Findley, Miller and Boone; District 5 includes that part of Benton Township west of Highway 5, all in Douglas County. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, a citizen of the United States, a resident taxpayer of the district they wish to represent, and must have resided in the state of Missouri for a minimum of one year preceding the election. Opening date for candidates to file for these positions is December 12, 2006, at 8 a.m. The closing date for filing is January 16, 2007, at 5 p.m. Candidates may file with the Douglas County Clerk at the Douglas County Courthouse in Ava, Missouri.
