Nearly Two-Thirds of Cross Country Team Qualify as Academic All-Stars

Coach Liz Kyger announced last week that 10 members of the Ava High School cross country team have qualified for Academic All-State honors. To be academic all-state, an athlete must have attended the state championship meet in November and have a score of 25 or higher on the ACT or a grade point average of 3.6 or higher. “I am extremely proud of these kids”, Coach Kyger said of the 10 honored athletes who represent nearly two-thirds of the total team members.
