Coupon Curiousity
By Mindy Johnson
I am anxiously awaiting to participate in Thanksgiving! I do mean participate, as it is the one day I put all concerns of health aside and just eat. Food on the table is the very thing we should all be thankful for and daily! Appreciative of God’s blessings, I can honestly say, I have never gone hungry, but there have been times in my life that I could have consumed more nutrition, but didn’t due to the lack of funds – got to love those college days!
This is a great time to stock up on all those items that are on sale, this time of year, and can be easily stored on a shelf or in the freezer. With many cooking family feasts for Thanksgiving, most grocery stores have tons of items discounted. You might not think it’s such a great savings now, until you’re hard pressed for time, need to make something quickly, and realize you have all the ingredients, thanks to stock piling and couponing. No extra money spent paying regular prices and time saved! That’s a win-win in my book.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, what about the big shopping day afterwards? It’s crazy, it’s madness, but some seem to really enjoy the adventure. This is a great time to check Black Friday ads for things desired for self or as gifts. Check websites of the manufacturers of those items to see if there is a coupon that can be used on top of the sale price, as well as, other products that might not be advertised, but has a reduced priced for the holidays.
Have a heart of gratitude this Thanksgiving! Take time out to enjoy family and fellowship. If perusing through several pounds of flyers and ads looking for savvy sales is your thing, make sure you make it worth while by saving even more money with coupons and enjoy the memories of Black Friday!
No Coupon Curiousity article is complete without a list of a few items on sale at Town & Country Supermarket this week that have coupons circulating: Campbell’s Soup, Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, Bertolli Pasta Sauce and All Detergent.
