Glenn Arthur Swearengin

Glenn Arthur Swearengin, 71 years, 10 months, passed to Heaven on May 31, 2015, at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Glenn was born July 31, 1943 to Emmitt and Naomi (Stillings) Swearengin.
On Aug. 31, 1966, Glenn and Carolyn Barton were united in marriage at Marshfield, Mo., and to this union two children were born.
After Glenn quit driving for Associated Grocers, he moved to Montana where he was a small business owner for several years.  Later he moved back to his home town of Ava where he worked on the family farm.
Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Doris Swearengin.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Carolyn Swearengin; one daughter, Rhonda and Jay Stevens,  Ronan, Mont.; one son, Anthony and Tiffany Swearengin, Ava, Mo.; five grandchildren, Tristan Stevens, Dylan Stevens, Kaylie Swearengin, Kyle Swearengin, Kenneth Arthur Swearengin;  three sisters, Esther Mahan, Wanda Stinson, Ruth Shortt; a special niece, Lisa Hampton; a nephew, Ethan Moore; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Glenn will be Thursday, June 4, 2015 at  10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo., with burial in the Stillings Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday from 6-7 p.m.  in the funeral home.  Officiating are the Rev. James Orick and Pastor Jerry Loveland. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering.
