Emogene Price, 82

Clara Emogene Price, 82 years, 8 months, and 13 days old, went to her Heavenly home on Dec. 1, 2014, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Mo., with her family by her side.
Emogene was born March 18, 1932, in Squires, Mo., to Burl and Hazel (Robertson) Frye. She attended Ava High School.
On Dec. 20, 1947, Emogene and Doy Price were united in marriage in Yellville, Ark., and to this union two daughters were born. Emogene and Doy were together 59 wonderful years.
Emogene was a life long resident of the Ava community. She was a Christian and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Ava.
Through the years she worked side by side with Doy on the farm.  She also worked at  Spalding Sporting Goods, Hesterlee’s Clothing Store and served as manager of Ava Elementary cafeteria.
She enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, gardening and embroidery. Emogene’s joy and love was being with her family and they with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Doy, in 2007; her stepfather, George Beason; one brother, John Frye; one sister, Georgia Porter; and her great-grandson, Brett Crewse.
Emogene is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Wanda and Johnnie Johnson, and Brenda and Daymon Milligan, all of Ava, Mo.; special son and wife, John and Kathy Borawski, Humansville, Mo.; five grandchildren, Jo and Jennie Johnson, James Johnson and wife, Tara, Julie Taylor and Brendan Price, all of Ava, Mo.; six great-grandchildren, Emily Crewse, Chase and Rachel Taylor, Hailey and Tyler Johnson, and Arizona Sallee; nieces and nephews; her special friend, Ed Teeple; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Emogene will be Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo., with burial in the Ava Cemetery.  Visitation will be Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Dick Bishop and the Rev. B.J. Evans. The family requests memorials be made to Ava School’s Friday Feast Backpack Program.
