The world of comedy and gifted actor Robin Williams is now silent, but he left a void in many peoples lives as they recall the best times he was on TV and made people laugh and remember him.

Dave and Karen Davis had some heart procedures done last week. They stayed overnight as the appointments were early that day.

Air Evac picked up a patient at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning at the Junction of 160 and J Hwy.

Lynn Bentele and Edith McKinnon were in Mountain Home to visit Maxine Smith and Robert Helms, both patients in the hospital therapy dept. the past week.

Our prayers are for them to improve and be able to come to their homes in the near future.

Happy Birthday to Dave Davis this Monday the 18th. Also Marlyn Pitcock celebrates his birthday August 21st in Forsyth, after a visit to Tillamook, Orgegon to see his sister, Kristine Luebbert, along with wife, Charlene, and granddaughter, McKayla Braden.

Doris Treiber has a birthday August 24th and we send best wishes to her.

Jean Suman drove to the Springfield airport Sunday a week ago to get her grandson, Rusty Sumen, who is visiting.

Roger Satterfield spent Sunday night with his parents and took care of some jobs around the place for them on Monday.

The Farm Bureau annual meeting at the park had over 60 in attendace Saturday. Charles Bassett representative of the 8th District and Lyle Rowland and others were present for the bountiful dinner and business meeting.

The County Line music group from Bakersfield, with Darrell Durham and daughters, Stacey and Kelly, and Vernon Long entertained.

Paralee reported that Darrel Newton of Oakland, Ar. passed away and graveside services are Wednesday.

Paralee attended Clark Ridge Baptist Church singing Saturday night.

Jerry Miller visited Monday morning and brought me okra and tomatoes from her garden. She also stopped in to visit Beaulah and Mearl Satterfield.

My appreciation to Jr. and Shirley Sisney for good garden vegetables also.

I have a groundhog who is “holed up” under a pear tree and if I had a garden he would be sure to devour all he could eat. I am planning to try and get rid of him soon.

A thought to remember is that “a journey in life is best measured in friends rather than miles.”
