Our Sunday morning service started as usual with scripture reading and prayer. We missed our Sunday school superintendant, Loren. He was not feeling well, but was able to be at services, Sunday night. The adult class is still in Psalms. A verse that caught my attention in Psalms 78:41. “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” I wonder how many times we limit God’s power in our own daily lives when we don’t serve him as we should. How many times do we put other things in front of our duties as Christians?
Hazel sang a pretty song Sunday morning before worship. We were glad to see some good friends from Chadwick that we attended church with for a lot of years. Wilda, Mary, and Jean all surprised us with a visit to Mt. Olive. I sure miss seeing those gals every week and Jerry misses Wilda keeping him lined out. Loved getting to be in church with them.
Jerry took his text from Luke 16 for the morning worship service and preached a good message. Our prayer is that all would come to know the Lord before it’s too late. We invite you to come worship with us next Sunday. And remember, “A friend is one who joyfully sings with you when you are on the mountaintop and silently walks beside you through the valley. “ A friend loveth at all times, Proverbs 17:17.
