Gentry News

Opening our morning service with prayer was Joie Welker.

In our Sunday school we studied about forgiveness and holding grudges seldom hurts the other person, but it eats away at our inner peace, learn to forgive and let God handle others.

Happy Birthday goes out to little Chloe Young.

August 15th is our third Friday night singing at 7 p.m. with snacks afterward.

Stephanie and Casey Merrifield have a new arrival at their house, a baby boy named Fisher Wayne.

Daniel and Mandy Young got to bring their infant, Ford Wayne, home and he is doing much better.

Our special song was by Rod Welker, Faye Allen and Wanda Casady.

Pastor Lafferty’s morning message was from Colossians chapter one. Paul had heard of the faith of the saints in Jesus at Colosse, and God reveals himself to us in different ways. Visions, audible voice, other people, and the word, we just need to listen.

Visiting with me Sunday and having dinner was Kevin, Cindy, Hannah and Keaton Reich.

A big crowd attended Gentry Sunday night to hear the Reich family sing. It was good to see some of the relatives from West Plains, Johnnie and Beverly Duggins and Gary and Janice Duggins.
