Mrs. Alene Turner began services this morning by reading Daniel 2:20-22.

Happy Birthday to Renee Graham and Santana Hathcock.

Brother Leon Turner brought our Sunday school lesson today about God is wise.  Please read Proverbs 2:1-6, 3:5-7.

Do we really know the God we serve?  How can we begin to know Him better?  One way is by reading His word and the other is through prayer and fasting.  We know that knowledge is information that we can find out for ourselves, but wisdom is the divine application of the word of God.  “But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the Book even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased,”  Daniel 12:4.  Have you seen a huge increase of knowledge in your lifetime?   We are to seek God for wisdom and it shall be given to us.  “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him,”  James 1:5.  We need to seriously seek and search God’s word out.

God expects us to do what He says!  He clearly tells us in the Bible what is right and wrong.  We just can’t do what we want.  We must agree with God on everything.  For it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God,”  Romans 14:11.

Pastor Leonard Hart brought today’s sermon about Let God In!  Please read Revelation 3:14.  What do you want to do for God? What does God want you to do for Him?  We are to do exactly what He has called us to do.  He never promised it was going to be easy.  We should care about only what is pleasing to God.  We are to be on fire for God.  “So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue you out of my mouth,”  Revelation 3:16.  As Christians, we want to see everyone saved.  We, however, can’t force or drag people in.  We must be a example by the lifestyle we live for Christ.

If you went out in town and asked people if they wanted to go to Heaven, most people would say yes.  However, Heaven must be prepared for.  We can’t live in sin with the expectation of going to Heaven  If you don’t make preparations, you will be left behind.  Society wants the pleasures of the world, but God has rules for this.  “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.  If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him,”  1John 2:15.

Can you hear Jesus knocking at your heart today?  Please answer the knock.

Please join us for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. with Brother Leon Turner and worship service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Leonard Hart.
