Brother and Sister Roberts were on vacation this week so we were blessed to have Brother Claude Robertson to fill in for them. He brought the message from Mark 10:17-22, Luke 19:1-8, “Do You Mean Business?”
Sister Donna Lewis brought the special and did a very good job.
Several people were either sick or on vacation this week. We were so sorry to hear of the death of Hazel Jackson’s granddaughter, also the death of Mrs. Armour. I talked to Aunt Violet Morris one evening and she is having a bad cough. Uncle Hugh is about the same.
Donna Bannister is gaining strength after surgery. Beth Stafford has been busy making and canning relish. She sure does a good job with the relish. Johnathon Snelson has been staying busy mowing their yard and helping his Grandma Snelson with her yard too.
Delmar is getting a tomato occasionally.
We have such wonderful neighbors and we are thankful for them. They sure check on us to see that we are ok.
My brother, Vern Deatherage, did an awesome job with the demolition derby Saturday. There were lots of people there and all seemed to have a very good time.
We were happy to have company for lunch on Saturday, those sharing the meal with us were Bevy Moore, Raylee, Caydee and Jaycee Burton, Earnie and Helen Cook.
Others visiting us during the week were Pauline Okhuysen, Debbie Moak (from Alaska), Judy Bower and daughter, Laura.
I stopped by one day and visited Susie Hall and Sharon Sanders.
Until next week, just remember to trust God and the anchor holds.
