We began our services with prayer requests and praise reports, then enjoyed a good Sunday school lesson.
Brother Ric read our scripture lesson from Colossians, titled, “A Positive Attitude”. We know if we are around folks with a pessimistic view of almost everything, it can rub off on us.
We sang Happy Birthday to Haley, whose special day was Monday.
Martin Hathcock had Kim Smith, her daughter, Jennifer, and her children as visitors, Tuesday morning. They were taking Martin out for lunch.
Paul Cox and nephew, Caleb, came to Myrl Cox’s to do yard work, last week. Pat and Ronnie also stopped by one evening to finish up a job.
Myrl’s other visitors have been Buster Davis, Jeanne Cox and Garrett Richards.
Last Sunday afternoon, Ronnie’s sister, Carla and Kenneth Aborn, their daughter, Heather and husband, Ryan Wagner of Lamar, and two children, Carlie and Zack, visited Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Pat.
Jessie Davis and friend, Evan, spent Saturday, helping Uncle Ronnie do some painting on his corral.
We want to wish Myrl Cox a very Happy 92nd Birthday, Wednesday, July 23.
Tom Elliott has spent a few days in the hospital last week. He is home, doing better at this time. Bonita came to be with Tom and Jewell at the hospital. Other visitors of the Elliotts have been, James and Tammy Elliott, Shaun and LeAnna Elliott, Logan and MaKayla, (who spent one night last week), Dean, Merry and Denise Coonts, Vanzant, Jim and Carla Hearod, Albert Elliott and Brother Marvin Loftin.
Jeff and Kristy Tackett brought Morgan Clements home, Saturday, after he spent a week with them in Joplin. He also visited Steven Tackett and Gary and Stephanie Mishler and enjoyed playing lots of golf with Jeff and Steven. Danny and Kim came by to pick Morgan up, Saturday evening.
Martin Hathcock and Don Beason visited Harold and Kay Hutchison, recently. Harold is doing better each day, getting a little stronger.
Harlin Hutchison and Amy, spent Thursday night with Harold and Kay, before Shirley was able to go home from Cox South, Friday morning. She seems to be getting along okay.
Harold and Kay visited at Heart of the Ozarks, Monday afternoon, with Mae Cox, Neva Vinson and Ellis Pollard.
