Sunday was a beautiful day to serve the Lord. We are so grateful for everyone who came out to worship at Mt. Olive and hope all received blessings from the preaching of God’s word. Going to church on Sunday, will make Monday better!
Our service was opened with prayer and scripture reading from 1 Corinthians 2: 9-10. The adult class is in Psalms 61 next Sunday. The kids sang a special with Hazel playing for them on her guitar then Hazel and Loren sang a special also. Happy birthday wishes go to Dustin and Tina Swearengin this week. They were looking tanned and rested from spending several days at Eureka Springs with their family. We missed them last week and are glad they are back. Prayer request were taken and a prayer request was made for Melverine Armour’s family. She will be sadly missed by her family, as well as, friends and neighbors. She was a gracious lady; always smiling with a sweet hello to everyone she came in contact with.
Our worship service began with congregationals led by Casey and then Pastor Jerry read from Mark 10: 13 – taking his text from there. We are always in need of the preaching and teaching of God’s word. We also need to read and study our Bibles. It is food for the soul. We invite you to come and worship with us anytime. And remember ….. It’s good to be a Christian and know it, but it’s better to be a Christian and show it! “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another,” John 13:35.
