Edward ‘Ted’ Stevens, 82

Edward “Ted” Stevens, 82, a 65 year Entiat Valley (Wash.) resident, passed away at the family homestead on Wednesday, June 25, 2014.
Ted was born on April 11, 1932 at Bertha, Mo., to Mae Tate and Roy Stevens. He came to Entiat, Wash., in 1949 and went to work for Bill Griffith. Later, Ted worked for Zwight Logging and Keokuk. Ted enjoyed being a member of the bowling team in Wenatchee, Entiat Log Cabin Pool Team, “Over the Hill” softball team and coaching Little League. The family remembers many nights at the Wenatchee Valley Speedway, watching Ted drive #55, a B modified stock car.  He passed on his love for horses, hunting and fishing to his children and grandchildren.
Ted is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mona; sons, Greg (Vicky) Stevens and Doug (Cindy) Stevens; eight grandchildren, Nic (Jen) Stevens, Adrienne Stevens, Terri Stevens, Kristin (Travis) Pearson and Kami (Bryant) Hines; and eight great-grandchildren, Isabel, Sophia, Austin, Sydney, Natalie, Westyn, Skylar and Eric.
