Once again Caney moved Wednesday services due to White River Youth Camp.
Sunday school opened singing praises to the Lord. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were taken. Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer. Bro. Jack read I Corinthians 12:12-20 for our devotion. It is important to realize we all have a service to God, just like all our body parts are needed, so is each of us in the church.
After a very good Sunday school lesson Happy Birthday was sung to Jeff Shipley. God bless him. Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received.
Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jeff Shipley, Hi Lambeth, Janice Lafferty, Elsie Combs, Vanessa Mills and Jim Lafferty. We began with congregational singing. Melba Austin sang a special. Pastor Bill Austin spoke Sunday morning. His scripture was Luke 24:1-11. Do we really believe God’s word or is it as idle tales? Study God’s word for yourself then you’ll know for sure what you believe. Follow after God’s word and not man’s idle tales. Service closed in a circle of prayer for the sick in our church. Praise the Lord He hears when we pray.
Sunday evening service came together with singing. Bro. Jeff Shipley took charge of service by taking prayer requests and praise reports. Sis. Lorrinda Coulter led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Melba Austin, Jack Essary, Janice Lafferty and Lorrinda Coulter.
Pastor Bill Austin brought our evening service. He took his thoughts from I Corinthians 12:12-20, Jeremiah 18 and Romans 9:20-22. Bill spoke on how important each person is to the church and ministry of the Lord. God can make us a vessel that will please Him if we let Him. He is still working on me is what most of us will say. What kind of vessel are you? Are you a useable vessel or one of destruction? Now is the time for you to choose the Lord and let Him do His work in you. God is calling you, answer Him today.
Come worship with us at Caney. You are always welcome.
