Sunday morning service opened with music and hymns by the band then prayer requests and prayer.

Donna Lewis sang the special  and did a beautiful job.

Brother Roberts brought the message from Gen. 6:9-15,7:1-7, “Save Your Family.”

Our Independence Celebration will be held on June 29th at 5 p.m. We will be having food, music and then fireworks.

We have been happy to get to visit with Marvin and Cora Lea Rosseau and their two grandsons from Yakima, Washington. We enjoyed a supper get-to-gether at Faye Keith’s in Mansfield one night, then another gathering with family at Plainview School and another is planned for Wednesday evening at our house. Marvin is a brother to Delmar and Norman Rosseau and Delpha Roller and Dorothy Burton all of Ava.

The weather has gotten a lot warmer and the tomato plants are growing. The squirrels have been eating the little tomatoes. We might have to have some squirrel and dumplings.

We visited with Carl and Kay Peak and he is to have more chemo soon. Their girls and grandkids came to spend Father’s Day with them. They had lots of good food and took lots of nice pictures.

My mom, Nora Hunsaker, has been having some trouble with her knee, but is doing a little better.

Shawn, Summer, Caidence and Conner Johnson spent the night with Keith and Donna Bannister on Saturday night. They sure like to spoil those two grandkids.

We are sorry to hear that Rex Hartin had a stroke and is in the hospital.

My great granddaughter, Caydee Burton, spent the morning with me and we enjoyed making chocolate chip cookies, including a monster cookie, which she took home with her. I sure love spoiling my grands and greats.

Until next week, try to keep up with the growing grass.
