Missouri Funeral Directors Honor Lyle and Florence Clinkingbeard

Lyle and Florence Clinkingbeard, of Clinkingbeard Funeral Homes, were recognized this spring by the Missouri Funeral Directors & Embalmers Association for their many years of service to the profession.
Executive Director Don Otto Jr., of the MFDEA, recognized Lyle Clinkingbeard for 60 years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer, and Lyle’s wife, Florence, was presented a 50-year certificate as a licensed funeral director.
Florence attended the MFDEA Convention at Chateau On The Lake at Branson, along with her daughter, Toni Van Dyne, also a licensed funeral director, and Brett Evans, a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
MFDEA is 126 years old and one of the oldest funeral associations in the U.S. The organization keeps up with education in the funeral industry, holds annual conventions and trade shows, district meetings and other valuable trade seminars, etc.
Kirk Clinkingbeard, co-owner/licensed funeral director, also holds membership with the association.
Adding to the team in Ava are Josh Wickware, licensed funeral director and embalmer, and Polly Schoonmaker, bookkeeper.
Clinkingbeard Funeral Home of Ava is approaching its 100th anniversary of service to the community.
Clinkingbeards also operate a funeral home in Gainesville.
