Rain, rain and more rain. Someone asked me if I thought it was going to rain the other day and I told him yes. He looked at me and I explained it has rained almost every day for almost a month now, so the odds are yes, it will rain today. He agreed with my answer. I am not complaining, I like it. The gardens are really enjoying all the rain because we are getting sunshine to go with it and that does make a garden grow. Jimmy Nelson said he has tomatoes ripening. I do believe he is going to be ahead of Roger this year. God is always so good to let us enjoy fresh vegetables that we grow. For some reason they always taste so much better.
Last week we had Brother Ray Dobbs preach for us for our youth night, then enjoyed food and fellowship with one another. Our crowd was down a little for youth night, but we still had a good time in the Lord’s house. Our mission fund has been for our Vacation Bible School this year. We hope to have a lot of kids come to learn more about Jesus.
This week we took our church youth on a trip to the creek for a hot dog and smores cook out and swimming. Roger and I took our youngest two grandkids with us. We had a good time and it was a great place. We did get a couple of little rain showers, but I guess when you are already wet from the water what does that really hurt anyway.
After our church service Sunday a few of us went on over to Highlonesome and enjoyed their homecoming services. We visited with lots of family and friends. I was so blessed to get to sing and be in services with my son, Dustin, and his wife and my grandkids.
I hope you did something wonderful this week and thanked God for all the blessings He has given you. God truly does love you and wants to bless you. He is just waiting on you!
