Wednesday evening Caney moved services to the White River Youth Camp. Several attended and the building was almost full. They had a large group of teens. It is a blessing to see young people take an interest. They didn’t have to be there.
Sunday school opened with singing praise to the Lord. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were taken. Sis. Melba led in prayer. Jack read Psalms 27:7-14 for our devotion. They were wonderful words.
After a very good Sunday school lesson Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received. She does a great job.
Praise and Worship hour began with testimonies from Jeff Shipley, Lorrinda Coulter, Hi Lambeth, Lila Roberts, Ethel Metcalf and Janice Lafferty. We progressed on to congregational singing. Melissa Harmon sang special music for us today. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from II Kings 4:38-41. There is a famine in the world today. If we cry out to the Lord He will fill us with His spirit. Follow after Christ, live and not die. It was a good message from the word of God.
We came together Sunday evening praising the Lord in song. Bro. Jeff Shipley started service taking prayer requests and praise reports. Sis. Lila Roberts led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Lila Roberts, Lorrinda Coulter, Melba Austin and Jack Essary. Sis. Ethel Metcalf sang special music. Bro. Jim Lafferty brought the evening message from Daniel. There is only One God, one way to reach heaven. We have to stand on the word of God and choose that way. He is the living God who showed His love for us by dying for us and rising from the grave to show us the way. God is a loving God, but He is a jealous God who will demand that we will praise Him. Praise Him now and receive His blessings.
Come be with us at Caney, you are always welcome.
