We trust you enjoyed a glorious Sunday morning like we did this past Lord’s Day and took some time to thank him for is wonderful creation and our place in it.
After our Sunday school lesson about the temptation of Christ and how graciously he handled the entire affair, we turned back to the Old Testament for our morning message during worship service and the subject was Psalm 100, entitled “Serve The Lord with Gladness.” Just knowing how much Jesus gave for us, should inspire us to “Come before his presence with singing.” After all he not only paid the price for our salvation and redemption on the cross, but he also freely gives us eternal life with him.
Then our evening message was taken from the text of 1st Corinthians 14, with an introduction through chapters 12 and 13, in regard to the gifts of the spirit and how they apply to our own situation.
It doesn’t take a mental giant to see that our world is swiftly becoming more and more, desensitized to the gruesome actions of the most wicked in our society. Both with the gyrations and undulations in films and media presentations which constantly assault the senses of our young and older citizens, are aiding in producing the rebellious generation in which we live and we are purchasing the equipment which the world uses to get behind our backs and foment rebellion, where we only hope for and teach love, hope and faith.
I just returned from my trip to the Grand Canyon with my grandchildren and you may trust me when I say, it was well worth the price of admission.
