Church opened with scripture reading and prayer and then Sunday school. After classes, songs were presented by our children and then congregation singing and special songs were sung by Lisa and Hazel and Loren. It was Mothers’ Day and gifts were handed out to all the mothers who were there. Tina received a gift for having the most children present, Kendra got a gift for being the youngest mother there and Hazel was given a gift for being the oldest mother attending that day. We are grateful for all our mothers who were there.
Worship began with prayer request for the sick. Janie was not feeling well so remember her, as well as, others. Jerry preached a good sermon, reading from John 19, and Ephesians 6: 1-3. We had a good altar service with one coming to rededicate her life to the Lord. We are so thankful for God’s love and mercy. He is always there with open arms.
We all enjoyed the fish fry Saturday, with lots of good food and fellowship. We appreciate Larry for providing the fish and to the guys for cooking it. It was very good. No one went away hungry, for sure. Barbara Day went down and visited her Aunt Iona Saturday afternoon and took her a Mother’s Day bouquet of flowers sent from the church. She was very pleased and told Barbara to give her appreciation. We hope she knows she is loved and missed as her health has kept her from attending lately.
Visitors at Loren and Hazel’s for Mother’s Day were Sarah, Matt and Ty, Leslie, Connie and a friend of hers. They also stayed in Branson last week, eating out and attending the movie, Heaven Is For Real, to celebrate their anniversary. We wish them many more happy years together.
Have a good week and we invite you to come to church and worship with us this Sunday. God will be happy and so will we and remember, you can accomplish more in one hour with God than one lifetime without Him. “With God all things are possible. “ Matthew 19:26.
