Our morning service began with Bro. Dee opening with a good morning to everyone. He asked for prayer requests and there were many. Prayer was led by Sister Juanita. We gave the pledges to the flags and to the Bible. Time to sing for Jesus. We began Sunday school class with Bro. Gregg filling in for Bro. Bob. Bro. Gregg began with prayer. Then he used Genesis 45:1-28 to bring us a good lesson. We had some class comments and discussion. Time for the Coins For Christ to be collected and that was our young ones that do such a good job. We gathered to sing for the Lord. The choir was small, but in good voice. We gave our gifts to the Lord and Bro. Gregg led in prayer. We had specials from Sister Patsy playing the piano and the congregation singing along to “Glory, Glory, Glory.” Also a special from Sister Peggy.
Time for the morning message from Bro. Gregg. He opened with prayer and used St. Luke 17:11-16. It was a great message. We closed with a song and Bro. Gregg dismissed us with prayer and a blessing on the food. It was our Sunday for dinner to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries of the month. We had great food and good fellowship.
Our evening service began with our prayer circle. Many prayer requests and prayer was led by Sister Sharron. We sang for the Lord and had specials from Sister Peggy and Sister Sharron.
Bro. Gregg spoke of our up and coming revival in September. It is a way off, but Bro. Gregg wants us to be in prayer for the revival and Bro. Nathan Humbyrd, who will be our speaker for the revival. The dates will be the second week of September. Put it on your calendar and I am sure you will be blessed.
Also we discussed our Vacation Bible School which will be the third week of June, June 16-20. Time will be 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Make plans to attend and be blessed.
Our Saturday night singing for May will be this coming Saturday night May 24th at 7:00 p.m. Bring your songs and instruments, plan to get a blessing. Food and fellowship to follow the singing. We closed with prayer by Bro. Dee.
