I think May is just about as busy as the month of December. My calendar at work is just about full with all the things I have to get done and places I need to be.
We started out with Roger’s birthday on May 1st, so I guess I better get his birthday wish in first thing. We didn’t do a lot to celebrate, I just cooked him a good meal.
The first Sunday in May is always our communion at church, it is done to remember what Jesus went through for us when he died on the cross for our sins. It always makes a person stop and examine their lives and their relationship with their Lord and Saviour.
Next week, is Mother’s Day, I want to take time to wish all mothers out there a most wonderful day. I hope your family takes time to show you how much you mean to them.
My mother, was truly a special lady. She taught all her children about the love of Jesus, and she always made time for each of us. She showed us love as she taught us right from wrong. My mother even enjoyed going out and playing sports with us (baseball and volleyball) up into her 70’s. Now mom’s don’t tell your kids you’re too old to get out and play with them because every child needs special time with their mother.
We have some of our youth graduating this year, I’ll announce names later on. I have some friends in Sparta also graduating. It is May, wedding bells are in the air for a friend of mine.
The end of the month brings up Memorial Day, when we will be remembering all the loved ones gone on to heaven before us. I know they are singing songs with the angels.
Down here we miss them, but God has plans for us and that is why each of us are still here. Talk to Him, He will guide you to the path He wants for you. God will be your pilot if you only ask and then let Him have control of your life.
Take care and enjoy this beautiful spring weather.
