Ken and Debbie Cederlind came down Sunday morning to go to church with her mother, but Bonnie wasn’t feeling like going to church so they stayed there with her.
Those having potluck Mother’s Day dinner with Bonnie was Roy and Linda Sue Freeman, Ken and Debbie Cederlind, Cecilia Edwards, Moe and Kaylynn Todd and Alaya, Wendee Freeman, Matt, Madison, Sydnee and Alexis, then later on a friend of Matt’s came by Buster Davis.
Bonnie said she had made some peanut butter cookies and they sure like them.
Mary Martha Williams came and took me to our O.E.S. meeting last Monday.
Carol Moore came over last Tuesday and took me into town so I took my news and eggs in then we went to the Ava Drug Store after that we went to the Pizza Hut and had lunch and then we went on over to her house and visited for quite a while before she brought me home.
Darlene Lister came Wednesday and picked up her eggs. Later that day Harold Hutchison stopped by and picked up his and Kay’s anniversary card and gift.
Wally and Shirley Jessen came by and got some eggs Thursday morning and later on Monica and Joel came by and I sent some of my bulbs home with her to Rockaway Beach and I took some to Ozark and lots of them stayed here in Douglas County.
Ellis came by that evening from work.
That night when it stopped raining I had one inch in the rain gage and then I got one-tenths of an inch Friday morning.
I went to town Friday morning and took Martin Hathcock his birthday card and gift which his birthday was the day before. That evening Nina Carter and two friends, Glenda and Susan, and I went to Springfield. Nina did some shopping and we all went to Golden Corral and ate supper before we went to Ozark to the Stained Glass Theatre where we saw The End Came In Spring. It was real good so go see it before it quits May 24th.
We met my niece, Brenda Henslee, Chuck and Karen Vaughn, Mark and Anette Ray and Monica Reemes at the theatre.
Sunday morning at 6:16 I received a call from Vernal Blakey wishing me a Happy Mother’s Day. Ellis text me right after that then Monica called before she went to church. Sherry called while Mark cooked breakfast and invited me down for supper. Ellis came and went to church with me and after we got back to the house he took me out to eat at Ruby’s and were they ever busy. When we got back to the house Lakota called and wished me a Happy Mother’s Day then later on James called, but it didn’t ring in so it went to voice mail and then it made a noise. I answered him back, but it didn’t get through, it just went to voice mail so I thanked him.
Ellis and I went to Mark’s and I took my pea salad and deviled eggs and those present were: Mark, Sherry, Mark Weston, Dustin and Kelsey Seaborn and Bentlee, Dwayne and Lora Kay Davis, Ellis and Hellen Blakey.
Lets keep our sick folks in our prayers, some of those prayers have been answered, so keep on praying. My prayers and sympathy goes out to all who have lost a loved one.
Lets keep our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training in our prayers.
