Another beautiful Sunday in the Ozarks, even with the late evening sprinkle to settle the dust. Kenny, Jill and Houston are back from a trip down to their southern plantation, and we certainly are glad to have them back home. They do not seem to have suffered badly from the trip, and they seem to have gotten plenty of sun.
Our Sunday school lesson was about the cleansing of the temple in Jerusalem, you remember, when Jesus turned over the money changers’ table and ran them out of the temple. Brother Eddie does a fine job as the teacher of our adult class.
The morning message was an explanation of the Biblical account of the Flood, it was particularly helpful to those who had recently gone to the movie who’s title character was somehow supposed to portray one of the early characters in the Bible. Anyway the morning message was well received, even though, I never did figure out which “Bible,” character the movie was based on.
Our evening message was taken from II Timothy 3, 4; based on the charge given Timothy by Paul the apostle, and how that same charge is the one given to all true believers in Christ. So that we can say, “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
Hey, your seat is still available, but you should come be our guest soon, to avoid the summer rush, come and join us in worship to the King, and may God richly bless you is our prayer.
