Our Easter Sunrise service opened with Bro. Gregg giving a welcome to all. Sister Patsy led in prayer. We sang for Jesus and had a special from Sister Peggy. Bro. Ray Dobbs was our speaker for the Sunrise service. He brought his message from I Corinthians 15:1-20. It was a good message from the Lord. We had a song and prayer by Bro. Gregg with a blessing on the breakfast to follow.
We moved to the fellowship hall to enjoy the good food and fellowship. What a great time in the Lord.
Our regular morning service began with Bro. Dale with a good morning to all. We had many prayer requests and Bro. Gregg led in prayer. We had the pledges to the flags and to the Bible. We sang for Jesus and went to our Sunday school classes. Bro. Bob opened with a good morning. The lesson for today was in Matthew 28:1-20. It was a good lesson, Bro. Bob.
We sang Happy Birthday to Sister Dianne Bingham. The young ones gathered the Coins For Christ. It was then time to sing for the Lord. We had specials from Bro. Dale, Sister Sharron and her grandchildren and “The Plus Group,” Sister Sharron, Sister Stacey, Bro. Dee, Sister Carla and Bro. Gregg. It was good music from all.
We had a handshake as Bro. Gregg came forward to give us a great message from the Lord. He used several passages from the good book on Christ the Risen Savior. As that is what Easter is all about. Our pastor Bro. Gregg couldn’t seem to find a place to stop this morning. He was just full of the Holy Spirit and needed to touch that special place in your heart. We love you, Bro. Gregg. We had a song and was dismissed in prayer by Bro. Dee.
Following the morning service the children and some adults gathered outside to hunt Easter eggs and play some games.
