Many helped us start our Easter morning at Gentry with a 6:45 a.m. Sunrise service and breakfast afterwards. Bro. Bob Huskey was unable to be there due to health problems so Pastor Lafferty filled in for him.
In our regular service after prayer and singing, we studied in Sunday school class the importance of our Christ’s resurrection. Our risen Saviour is news worth sharing with the people. Jesus suffered for us that we might have hope in him.
Happy Anniversary wishes went out to Joie and Stacey Welker for 31 years of marriage.
Our special songs were by the children, Narvil Tetrick gave a reading and the Gentry choir.
The Fourth Sunday Singing is at Gentry, April 27th at 2 p.m. so we will be having dinner at the church.
We had many prayer requests, among some of them were Sally Prock, Bill Comer, Bob Huskey and Kevin Reich.
Pastor Lafferty’s morning message was from Matthew chapter 27. The Resurrection of our Jesus Christ gave the disciples more boldness. Jesus paid a terrible price for us and He is coming back for His children.
We thank all the visitors for sharing in our Easter service and welcome them back. Everyone is always welcome at Gentry.
