Fair Board’s Springs Demolition Derby Is Shaping Up for May

The Douglas County Fair Association met at 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Krazy Daze
The agenda for the May 24 demolition derby, to be held on the fair grounds, is pretty much in place
Gate fees are going to be $4 for children 12 and under and adults will be $6.
Entry fees for demolition derby will be $50, or the fee for early registration prior to May 19 will be $40.
Also, plans are to have the Road Runners Car Club there and possibly some other car groups. A car parts swap is also being planned.
Also there was a discussion about the fair in July. They are hoping to expand on last year’s fair.
“We really need help from the community in making the fair and any event that we attempt successful,” says Fair Board Chairman Richard Sturgeon.
The board meets every week at Krazy Daze Restaurant at 6 p.m. until after the Ava Fest and the demolition derby. The next meeting will be Monday, April 7.
