It was a beautiful day to be able to go to church this Sunday. If you were blessed to be able to go then give thanks. If you did not go because you forgot to turn your clock forward, OOPS!!! We had a wonderful service. We did not have church last week because of the winter weather so it was good to be able to have services this week.
Morning service opened with scripture reading from 1st John 3: 18-22 and opening prayer was led by Bro Larry. Our adult class is still reading and discussing the book of Job. The different stories in the Bible never get old and there is always a new lesson to be learned. Prayers go out to the families who have lost loved ones recently. Please continue to pray for our military men and women and their families waiting at home for them. Please remember the Tom Harris family in your prayers. Tom passed to heaven Sunday and will be so missed by all his family. He was especially adored by his grandchildren, two of which we share, so I know personally how much they loved and will miss him.
Special singing and congregational singing was enjoyed by all and then Jerry took his text from Genesis 6 and Matthew 24. There is a lot of similarities when you compare these chapters with what is happening in the world today. And if you are alive today and have not received Jesus as your personal Savior, you have time ….. Revelation tells us …. Behold I stand at the door and knock. Don’t wait until tomorrow, it might not come!!!!!! And remember ……The only preparation for tomorrow is the right use of today. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Matthew 6:24.
