Brother Leon Turner brought our Sunday School lesson today.  Please read Job 30:26-31; 42:1-6.  Today’s lesson was about Suffering.  If God is good, why is there suffering?  This picture of righteous Job’s suffering teaches us two primary things:  1.)  We are reminded that all people experience suffering and 2.) Job’s affliction teaches us that while suffering is a by-product of living in a world corrupted by sin, our suffering is not always the direct result of our personal sin.  We don’t understand why we are suffering, but sometimes we suffer because we commit sins and receive the consequences. We receive the  consequences of others’ sin.  Because we are being tested.  When we are talking to a suffering person we must choose our words very carefully.  A lot of times, people may just need a hug or a kind word.  God meets us in our suffering and never leaves us.  God sees the big picture that we are unable to see.  He uses your life experiences to help you to minister to people you will encounter in your life.  When our life is over and we stand before God, He will ask you, “What did you do for me?”  It will be all up to you to answer this question.

Brother Leonard Hart brought our Sermon today about “What are you called to do?”  Did you know that church really starts when you leave the church house?  It is easy to praise and worship God in the company of fellow Christians.  Just a few steps out into the world, we will run into all manner of sin and unsaved people.  It is our job to tell them about Jesus.  There are people today that hate the church and a lot of those people are in high places.  For example,  we never thought that prayer would be taken out of school so we just sat back and watched it happen.  We must take a stand for God!  When God is put out, evil comes in.  All over our land evil is happening against our children because of this.  If you are a Christian today, please share your love of God with someone.  Invite them to church or tell them what wonders He has performed in your life.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  Matthew 22: 37-38.

Please join us for Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. and Worship Service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Leonard Hart.
