Don't Miss

Celebrating Lincolns and Washingtons birthdays is now called President’s Day this Monday the 17th of February. Just a month away is St. Patrick’s Day.

Best wishes to all the sick folks. It seems the flu bug has been getting some folks down.

Mearl Satterfield wasn’t feeling good Sunday. Hopefully he will be better soon.

It was good to have a phone call from Jean Bates Saturday. She lives in La Crescenta, CA.

Also it has been nice to  get some Valentines and to hear from old friends who now live in West Plains and I keep in touch often.

Leslie Hicks in West Plains says he has lots of leaves from the many trees in back of his property.

Best wishes to Randi Schmucker who hasn’t been feeling good. Also her mother and sister.

I appreciate Barbara Roberts who brought a red rose and chocolates for Valentine’s Day.

A special offering was taken at church Sunday for compassionate care in observance of sanctity of life.

A beautiful new quilt made by Ethel and Ted DeWeese and donated to Lilly Ridge Church was shown at Church Sunday .

Best wishes to Macel Jefferson who is recuperating at the Hiram Shaddok Re-Hab in Mountain Home.

Dave and Karen Davis are doing some finishing touches on their newly remodeled house after son Larry did the carpenter work with some extra help part of the time. Getting carpet installed is the next item.

Our prayers are for Jim Blackburn of West Plains with his health problems. And we are remembering Ron Mahan also.

A thought for the day is: “To forgive is holy, to forget takes restraint, to forget what you forgave is the mark of a saint.”

I appreciate the Herald for the nice gifts I received at New Years time and for the weeklypaper which I enjoy.
