We missed you Sunday morning. Our numbers were few, but the Spirit was with us and we had a wonderful Sunday school lesson before morning worship service and a good time of fellowship.
The morning message was, “When God Whispers,” with the passage from Ist Kings 19 as a source. Then our evening message was from Isaiah 40:9, entitled “Lift Up Your Voice With Strength.” You will have to come to worship service some time and see if some part of the message God gives us might be useful to you. The Lord seems to speak to us each time we gather, to encourage us in his service and give us the blessing of His presence with us.
Our teen group is making plans for a fundraiser. I will try to keep you posted on where and when, as soon as plans are solidfied. The young people are also in the process of sending letters to several of our active duty servicemen. If you know someone who is in the service, any branch and at any duty station, at home or abroad, and if you would like them to receive a letter of encouragement from someone here at home, just send their name and duty station to us here at Oak Grove, and we will be happy to send them a letter of appreciation and support for their service to our country.
The planned message for next Sunday is entitled “I Will Go.” Come and be our guest for worship service Sunday morning (worship starts at 11:00), Sunday evening (7:00), Wednesday Bible Study (7:00), we look forward to seeing you, and will try to save you a seat.
