After all that cold it may feel like a heat wave and summer is just around the corner, but don’t forget in the Ozarks; “If you don’t like the weather, just hang around for a few minutes, it’s liable to change.”
We had a great Sunday morning lesson in the adult class and then the morning message was taken from Psalm 119:126, “Time For The Lord To Work.” We may have become complacant because the Lord “Works” all the time, but so often because He is a loving God, we see his works in light of his mercy. If a people continually turn away from and reject him, at some point he is required by his holy nature to work in judgment and chasten those who have made void his law.
I realize some may wonder what that means, so by way of explanation; when we take His commandments out of all our public places and enact laws that limit worship of Him in the public arena, we have shown no respect for and therefore made void His law.
After morning service we adjourned to the fellowship hall for food and fellowship and then came back to the sanctuary for choir practice, we even had enough left over to have fed you, and yes, your seat is still available. Come and join us next Sunday.
We have been having a great time with the teens, Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., if you’re a teen with a free Monday evening come join us for some food, fun, music and fellowship. If you play an instrument, bring it along.
This Wednesday evening will be our business meeting, but the following Wednesday we will have Bible Study starting at 7:00. Come and join us then if you can.
