You may have noticed that I haven’t turned in a church news letter for the past couple of weeks, or maybe you didn’t notice. Well, I was out of the country for a few days, down in sunny Honduras, on a mission trip and we saw 99 souls come to Christ in the week we were there, so missing a couple of news letters was worth while.
This weeks message was taken from Christ’s Message to the Churches in Revelation 2 and 3, with special attention to his admonition to the church at Sardis and Laodicea. All of us should be aware of the fact that God knows our works, and He requires only that whatever works we do, we keep His purpose, His honor, His glory at the forefront. He wants us to put self aside and seek His will in our lives, anything short of that is less than pleasing to God, the Father.
The snow came and slickened the highway, we have to postpone our next youth night until next Monday evening at 6:30. We have been having a great time on Monday nights, singing, enjoying a meal together, watching movies and playing games, if you’re not otherwise occupied come and join us, unless we’re snowed out.
The planned message for next Sunday morning is, “The White Stone,” come and worship with us, we will try to make you feel at home. We do have some extra “Reserved” placards we can put out for you in you want, just let us know and we can arrange seating (right up front, if you like.)
Looking ahead to the last weekend in April, I have been asked by a National and International Missions Team to come and show a presentation of the work they do for the entire association and plans are going forward to work out the logistics for their visit. It is our hope that you will come and see what that is all about, and make some new acquaintances in the Lord at the same time.
May the Lord bless you and keep you is our prayer, come join us in worship and praise to the King, any Sunday, youth night (Mondays), or Wednesday night Bible Study.
