A beautiful Tuesday we are having and more good weather in our forecast. It lifts my spirit just to think about our good forecast. I heard from a sister in California that they were getting a good rain last weekend where she lives in Vacaville.
We had good weekend services Sunday. Sis. Carol Carson taught from Proverbs chapter 1 and chapter 7. The verse in Proverbs 7:2, “Keep my commandments and live and my law as the apple of thine eye. Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.” I enjoy the teaching out of Proverbs.
Bro. Dewitt preached from II Kings 13:21 and Ezekiel 37:1-8 and Sunday night he preached from Psalms 51:1-19 verse 15 says, “Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify me.”
We were sorry about sister Dee Mundy passing away. Her funeral was Saturday before last and our sympathy is with her husband, Victor and family. We appreciate our church family and many friends who help set a beautiful meal for their large family. Their pastor from North Carolina came and ministered, Bro. and Sis. Harvesty and he preached for us the following Sunday. We hope they come back and preach again for us under different circumstances. Also sorry to hear Clinton Maloney passed away and Jerry is going to his funeral this afternoon. He and family spent most of their years here before moving to Springfield. A good friend to many.
In case I forget we will be having revival at Faith Rock March 10th Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. with evangelist Justin Lawson. Our Fifth Saturday Night Singing will be March 29th at 5 p.m. It will be out first one. There is three more fifth Saturdays in 2014. Also March 23, Teen Challenge will be here again to minister. We would especially like to see lots of young people who need help with addiction.
I hope all our kids and grandkids can get back in school hopefully this week. I don’t know about our grandkids, but I’m sure the parents will be glad to get back to normal.
We had one birthday, Bro. Joe Martin from Willow Springs, MO.
We also were sorry about the accident of Bro. James and Debbie McHaffie on the ice and she was taken to the hospital for surgery on her arm. I don’t know any more than that.
Everyone remember Valentine’s Day and make someone happy.
