Feb. 12th – Caney came together Wednesday evening to praise the Lord and learn more of His word.
We praised His name in song. Sis. Janice Lafferty led the service. She took prayer requests and praise reports. We have many concerns and then led in prayer. Janice read Phil. 4:4-8 and talked about being thankful for everything. We had a good discussion.
Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed all with prayer requests and praise reports were given. Sis. Elsie Combs led in prayer. Bro. Jack read Luke 7:1-10 for our devotion. Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received.
Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jim Lafferty, Jeff Shipley and Kelli Clemans. Then we lifted our voices in song. Special music by Melba Austin and Charlee Lafferty. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Luke 16:19-25. No matter how rich or poor, famous or unknown you are, you are going to die living for Christ and it is the only way we can get to heaven. Sunday evening Caney met praising the Lord in song. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone to service. Prayer requests and praise reports were given. We have so much to talk to the Lord about. Bro. Jeff led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Jim Lafferty, Melba Austin and Hi Lambeth. Pastor Bill spoke this evening from Gal. 2:20-21. Jesus loved us and gave His life that we might have eternal life. He gave His all. He gave His tongue for prayer. He prays for those that loved Him. He gave His cheeks and His back following His fathers will. He gave His head for the crown of thorns. His shoulders to bear the cross. He gave His hands and feet and His side to open the way. His life blood for the truth. He gave His life for the sheep. Jesus truly gave His all even His soul for you and I. What have you given for Him? Is He satisfied with us? It was a wonderful message from God’s word. Services ended with Sis. Melba singing. Come be with us, you are welcome.
