Sandy Church

Brad Siler, our Sunday School Superintendent, asked for prayer requests and many were shared as always.  We always need the Lord.  Peggy Miller prayed this prayer.

After Sunday school, we came together and Rick Crum prayed the offertory prayer as he and Kevin Hodges received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.  LeaAnn Crum led us in song. Happy birthday was sung to Elane Crum as it was her birthday.  Pastor Neal blew the shofar and several testimonies were given praising our Great God.     Danny Johnson led us in song.  Pastor Neal read from Joel 2, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.  What do we know about the sun and moon?  In Genesis 1, God said let there be lights to divide the day from the night and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years.  Psalms 19 says the heavens declare the Glory of God; the firmament shows his handiwork.  Kim Humbyrd prayed the closing prayer.

Food harvest items were collected and backpack items were collected since we did not have church on the 5th of January.  Items for Options Pregnancy Clinic will be collected next Sunday.

At 4 p.m., we met for our late Community Christmas dinner with ham and turkey and all the trimmings served along with good Christian fellowship.

Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. is our special prayer meeting and each Wednesday at 7 p.m. is our weekly Bible study from the book of Exodus led by Pastor Neal.

Come and be with us.  You are always welcome.
